What an awesome place for kids!
Destiny Kids is a safe, fun and friendly kids church for all kids from walking 1-year-olds right through to the end of Grade 7.
Each week we engage children in teaching from the Bible through small group discussions, games, and activities to help kids learn about God, understand the Bible, and develop their own personal relationship with Jesus.
Sign-in opens at 9:15am and sign-out is straight after the service.
Destiny Kids age groups
Spark – Ages 1 year old and walking -3 years
Ignite – Ages 4 years – Prep
Lift – Grade 1 – Grade 4
Boost – Grade 5 – Grade 7
Spark (1 year old and walking – 3 years)
Spark is a room just for little ones and is an introduction to kids church. We play, sing songs, have morning tea, read a Bible story, do a colouring page or craft activity, and then we play some more!
Our Spark leaders are experienced in providing loving care for toddlers and helping with the transition into kids church. We know that leaving Mum or Dad and coming into kids church can be a big step for some children (and parents!) so we work with families to make this as easy as possible. Parents are welcome to come in and settle their children for as long as needed, and we contact parents if a child is upset or needs a nappy change/toilet trip.
Ignite (Ages 4 years – Prep)
Our Ignite kids enjoy being “big kids” in their special upstairs room with toys and games appropriate for preschool/early primary level. At Destiny Church we value relationship, so our Ignite kids start their morning with play time, during which the leaders encourage cooperation and sharing, and help the kids build friendships.
Each week our Ignite leaders prepare a Bible story lesson, a colouring page or craft activity, games, songs and activities to help our kids learn from the Bible and experience God’s presence. We encourage the children to ask lots of questions about the Bible stories we read, and share what they have learnt each week with their family and friends.
All of our Ignite kids are toilet trained, and we contact parents if a child needs a toilet trip.
Lift (Grade 1 – Grade 4)
Lift is a room full of fun, friends and faith!
We believe in having fun developing friendships with one another so begin the morning with time a free time for children to choose their own activities that include playing on the playground, outdoor games, indoor games and crafts.
During the service children will spend most of their time in a small group to give them the opportunity to find a place to belong and safely interact with the Bible teaching. Together, they’ll learn about the Bible and how to have a relationship with God, memorise Scripture and pray together.
Boost (Grade 5 – Grade 7)
Gen Alpha is growing up in a world that is vastly different. They are searching for authenticity and have deep hunger for physical community. Boost provides a place to belong and learn how to have meaningful conversations and relationships with one another and with older generations as they grow in their faith.
Boost begins the service with the Lift group for a dynamic worship time and then moves to their own room. They spend their time in small groups where they explore the Bible through open discussions that encourage them to ask questions and find answers in the unchanging truth of God’s Word.
We also encourage our Boost children to take the next step in serving in the life of the church in a variety of different areas.
