Safe Child Practices
Our Commitment
Our Commitment At Destiny Church, we believe every child and young person is made in the image of God and deeply loved by Him. Their safety, wellbeing and voice matter to us. We are committed to providing safe, nurturing, and faithfilled environments across our Church and ministries, including Destiny Kids and Destiny Youth. We partner with families to help children and young people grow in their faith, discover Jesus’ unconditional love, and become strong, confident followers of Christ.
We uphold the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations and implement the ACC Safer Churches Guidelines across all our programs. This means we:
- Prioritise the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people
- Listen to children and treat them with respect
- Provide clear and accessible processes for raising concerns
- Carefully screen, train and support all staff and volunteers
- Create safe physical and online environments
- Act promptly and appropriately if concerns arise
We value diversity and are committed to inclusive practices that support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people, those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and children and young people living with additional or complex needs.
At Destiny Church, we are committed to ensuring every child and young person is known, valued, protected, and empowered to flourish in Christ.

These policies and procedures document how our organisation seeks to safeguard vulnerable people. The implementation of these policies is regularly reviewed and improved.
Raising Concerns
We actively encourage everyone across our organisation and within our community to speak up about any concerns regarding the safety and wellbeing of others. Every concern is treated with care, taken seriously, and managed responsibly in line with legal requirements and, where relevant, with a strong child-focused approach.
If you are concerned about the safety of someone at Destiny Church, we encourage you to share this with our Safer Churches Contact so it can be addressed appropriately.
